La multinacional Nobel Biocare ha comprat la spin-off catalana Mimetis Biomaterials. Fundada en 2013 pels investigadors David Pastorino, Yassine Maazouz, Xavier Gil i Maria Pau Ginebra, dissenya, fabrica i comercialitza solucions de regeneració òssia en l'àmbit dental i ortopèdic. El grup de recerca ha centrat el seu treball en diferents estratègies, desenvolupant en els últims anys bastides per a enginyeria de teixits a través de tecnologies d'impressió 3D, incloent el disseny i desenvolupament de tintes bioactives que permetin la fabricació d'estructures avançades, basades en fosfats de calci biomimétics com els hidrogels.

On Febraury 7, a new modular neuroprosthesis was presented that will apply functional electrical stimulation according to the gait phase of the user. During the meeting, the final phase of experimentation with the hybrid robot was planned, which will be carried out in people with spinal cord injury at HNP and also in people with stroke in the facilities of the Guttmann Institute in Barcelona.
